AEC Swimming Club is registered with Central Gauteng Aquatics and Swimming South Africa and it forms a necessary body that is a requirement in order for swimmers to swim at provincial and national levels. AEC swimmers compete annually in Level 1 to Nationals within the Central Gauteng Aquatics programs.

Over the years there have been many memorable results from AEC swimmers. AEC was awarded the Top Coach Incentive at the SASOL Winter Championships in 2006. We have had swimmers compete for South Africa in Germany, Zambia and at the Deaf Olympics and return with medals on the international circuit. Swimmers have competed provincially for Central Gauteng Aquatics and done their province proud. We have had finalists at Senior Nationals, Senior Nationals Open Water as well as finalists and medalists at Junior Nationals and SA Regionals Level 2 and Level 3. Most recently, one of our young swimmers was selected as part of the South African National Junior Squad and another swimmer was selected as part of the Junior Youth Open Water Squad.

Each athlete is an individual and is unique in their vision and requirements, and we satisfy what each of these individual athletes is looking for in terms of their swimming careers. We as a club want to be innovative and create new avenues to harbor the long-term vision of our athletes. As a club we support CGA, having swimmers compete from Level 1 to National levels, and additionally, we also compete in the Open water swimming (OWS) circuits as a club.

We strive to keep our swimming club and swimming squad groups small in order to dedicate our attention to our swimmers. In doing so the swimming club has grown from strength to strength and has had numerous swimmers invited to Central Gauteng Aquatics awards ceremonies. We look very forward to the future achievements of the swimmers and AEC Swimming Club.
